Dolphins in late show at South Kessock

THERE was a good turn-out for the dolphin watch at South Kessock on 29th July. In warm but windy conditions a fair-sized crowd - around 50 in the course of the afternoon - waited a considerable time, and were eventually rewarded. The dolphins put on quite a display from about 4.55pm to 6.20pm, unfortunately after many of the people had given up looking.

Highland Council Countryside Ranger, Katy Stirling, who organised the event along with her assistant Lucy, is pictured below keeping the youngsters entertained with a giant snakes-and-ladders-type environmental board game.
