PLENTY to smile about - that’s little Mia (pronounced My-ah) Mackay of Quayside Court and her proud mum Nicola. For 10-month-old Mia came in first in the Under One Year category of the Bonny Baby competition at Merkinch Gala on Saturday 24th.
Though the rain came on later in the afternoon, it didn’t spoil the fun.

Besides the hamburger stand and the splendid strawberry teas, there were lots of stands and entertainments, including the fire department, the bouncy castle, beat the goalie, and the pillow fight. Pipers, Highland dancers, Ghanaians dancing in native dress, and martial arts exponents all added to the fun - and a good time was had by all!
