ANOTHER new face you are likely to meet on the Merkinch beat is newly appointed Community Beat Officer Raymond Fraser (above). Previously on general operational duties in the East Sector, PC Fraser took up his post on the CB team on 18th August.

An Invernessian born and bred, PC Fraser has only been in the Northern Constabulary for the last two-and-a-half years. But before that he was a prison officer, working at a number of Scottish establishments, including Porterfield.

A single man, PC Fraser’s main hobby is football. He is well-known in the Amateur League and plays at the Bught, for the Mid-Lairg team. He is looking forward to his new role, working with PC Ann Urquhart and other members of the Community Beat team.
