FREE National Lottery Awards for All Scotland Funded Computer Training Courses
Merkinch Enterprise offers FREE computer IT training courses to residents of Merkinch and the surrounding Inverness district catchment area. The courses are funded by National Lottery Awards for All Scotland and are also supported by Merkinch Enterprise. The courses on offer are aimed at providing students with training and experience in the use of the industry standard software applications used by businesses throughout the Highlands.
Applicants must be unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week. Alternatively, they may also now be retired. The courses are designed to help people acquire additional computer skills with a view to improving their employment opportunities (if appropriate). No previous experience of using a computer is required. The courses are designed to be flexible, allowing the student to progress at the rate that they feel comfortable with. We can offer financial help towards childcare costs as well. For further information please telephone 01463 240085 or email us.
The courses on offer are adapted from our commercial training courses and include Introduction to PC and Windows, Introduction to the Internet, MS Outlook Introduction, MS Word Introduction, MS Excel Introduction and MS Access Introduction.
Available dates, the duration of the course(s) and times will be dependent on client requirements, current levels of expertise and the availability of the trainer.
